After major surgery, opioids remain the standard. The risks of that approach are well documented, yet alternatives in this critical recovery window are limited. We are working hard to be part of the shift, by developing surgical pain blockers that treat pain at the surgical site itself, reducing the need for opioids during the most painful first days after surgery.
