The study surveyed 322 spine surgeons across six continents to assess which aspects of perioperative care they consider most impactful for patient recovery. Multimodal opioid-sparing analgesia ranked highest, followed by early mobilization and preoperative education & counselling. Notably, these three areas were also identified as offering the greatest room for improvement.
