SentryX is a clinical stage pharmaceutical company based at Utrecht Science Park. We develop a local non-opioid solution for pain treatment after musculoskeletal surgery. We are a scale up company consisting of a growing team of approximately 25 people. We are enthusiastic and very motivated by a common drive and goal to get our product to the market. Our lead product is in preparation of a phase III trial. We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Quality Control (QC) Analyst with a background in analytical chemistry.

About the position

As QC analyst you are at the heart of our company and member of a small team of analysts. With our hydrogel formulation, proper samples’ pre-treatment and precise measurements are key in obtaining reliable results. That’s exactly where you can add a lot of value.

Our main analytical techniques are chromatography (HPLC) and spectrophotometry (UV-Vis). In this context you will, amongst other tasks:

- Ensure a proper execution of all analytical methods (both IPC and QC);

- Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials and final product;

- Perform analyses in accordance with work protocols;

- Process and report results of analytical tests;

- Perform method development;

- Perform method validation;

- Ensure that lab tidiness and safety standards are maintained;

- Periodic maintenance and calibration of our equipment.

About you

You are precise, diligent, organized and transparent. You always make sure your documentation is accurate and up to date. Next to being a team player, you are also perfectly capable of working independently. You are open to feedback and good in interpersonal communication. You like to learn and work in a dynamic environment.

Your educational background is a Bachelor’s degree (preferably HBO) in Analytical Chemistry or similar. Experience in method development and validation is considered a plus.

You have at least two years of experience in a pharma or biotech laboratory setting including working with chromatography (e.g. HPLC). This would typically be your second career step.

Professional proficiency in English is required for this position. Only candidates that currently reside in the Netherlands will be considered.
